UST Founders Scholarship
Urban Squash Toronto is thrilled to announce, in honour of UST's founding members contributions to UST, the Founders Scholarship. UST will be offering a scholarship of up to $2,500 a year, to a maximum of $10,000, awarded to 1 qualifying Grade 12 UST student at the conclusion of each school year.
Born out of their passion for squash and philanthropy, Urban Squash Toronto (UST), was founded by Clive Caldwell, Don Givelos and Adrian Griffin, and welcomed the first students in September, 2009.
Clive took on the role of the UST Board Chair. Adrian served as the Executive Director for USTs first operating year. Don, had a major role in creating the UST Board, and took on the Executive Director role as a volunteer for 5 years, starting in 2014.
It was their efforts, along with the dedicated UST staff that formed the foundation of the program.
To date, Urban Squash Toronto has been an anchor in the Jane/Finch community and a safe haven for underserved youth, helping them achieve their full potential.
Clive and Don continue to support and fundraise for UST and are deeply honoured that the UST Board has created this scholarship on behalf of the founders.
