Staff Bios

Brent Adamson

Executive Director

Brent Adamson holds a Master of Environmental Studies from York University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Guelph. With a strong background in racquet sports, Brent has competed at the national level and brings a lifelong passion for the game to his work.

Before stepping into his current role, Brent served as the Squash & Operations Director at UST, where he played a key role in program development and day-to-day operations. His deep connection to the sport and commitment to youth development continue to drive his work in the community.

Niki Aron

Squash & Community Director

Niki Aron has 20 plus years of experience in the fitness industry. Starting out as a personal trainer moving to group fitness, coaching squash, yoga and most recently Niki completed her 50 hour Mindfulness teacher training. She has a passion for movement, health and wellness with a holistic approach. Niki has been playing squash for the last 20 years in Toronto and has a fervent interest in growing and teaching the sport.

Andrenella Browne

Program Director

Andrenella Browne graduated with Honours from Centennial College’s Recreation and Leisure Services Program and has been dedicated to community work in the Toronto region for nearly a decade. Throughout her career, she has contributed to several non-profit organizations, making a meaningful impact on youth and families. Her educational background and hands-on experience continue to shape her commitment to building stronger, healthier communities through recreation and mentorship.

Since October 2021, Andrenella has been an integral part of Urban Squash Toronto as the Program Director. Her previous roles include serving as a coordinator at Heartbeatz Community Centre, working with Toronto Foundation for Student Success (Beyond 3:30), and leading as a camp director at the YMCA.

Danielle Houston

Academic Director

Danielle Houston graduated from Humber College with an Honours in International Development. With over four years of experience in the nonprofit sector, both nationally and internationally, Danielle brings a deep understanding of community engagement, nonprofit management, and education through a play-based learning lens. She is passionate about creating inclusive, empowering environments that inspire students to build confidence and become advocates for themselves and their communities.

Isabelle Vater

Development Director

Isabelle Vater graduated with Honours in Criminal Justice and Public Policy with a minor in Social Sciences from the University of Guelph. She has a strong passion for working with youth, developed through volunteering at primary schools and with therapeutic horseback riding programs for children with disabilities.

Though, new to the UST team, Isabelle has already shown her eagerness to learn. She brings a fresh, enthusiastic and creative perspective to her role—whether she’s connecting with the community or contributing new ideas to help support our mission.

Daniel Adebamiro 

Academic Coordinator

Daniel Adebamiro graduated from Durham College with a diploma in Sport Management, and is passionate about using sport as a tool to support youth development, both in and out of the classroom.

Before joining UST, Daniel worked with organizations like the YMCA and the Canadian Olympic Committee. At the YMCA, Daniel served as a Camp Support Lead, where he supervised staff, led day-to-day operations, and helped deliver engaging programming for hundreds of campers.

Daniel is especially passionate about helping youth unlock their full potential by creating spaces where they feel supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed.
